Here I studied the design language and signature design cues that define the look of Land Rover.

brief:
Design a new portable camping lantern developed for Land Rover for their outdoor adventure accessory product division. When not in use the lantern should fit in the cup holder of the car for storage and easy access.

final design
I finalized on this design because it is evolved from the shape of the light of Land Rover and due to it's squarish shape, it gives you a better grip while using in the field.
The sides have uninterrupted translucent shell to ensure you get maximum output.
Target User
Adam Wedler, 42, Male.
He enjoys going on outdoor camping trips with his wife at least once a month in their beloved Land Rover Defender. As a Senior Editor at Overland Journal, He finds his creative inspiration primarily in nature. He prefers to invest in high-quality products that are durable and reliable, which he considers a sustainable approach to his purchases.

Exploring different ways to interact with the product in different scenarios. Since the lamp has to fit inside the cup holder of land Rover, it highly dictated the shape and scale of the lamp.

I modelled a 1:1 prototype with materials and tech components that are intended for the final product. This allowed me to test this in real life situation.
